Rich is the CEO of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, a non-profit organization developed at Google that now offers Google’s mindfulness and emotional intelligence curriculum to communities and organizations around the world. Rich was previously the director of executive education and people development at Google, where he was also one of the first SIY teachers.

Previously Rich served as the head of learning and organization development at eBay. Rich also has a decade of experience working as a learning and leadership development executive in the financial services sector, at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and at Bank of America.

Rich was trained as a psychologist and received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. Rich is also an author and frequent contributor to Harvard Business Review, a neuroscience enthusiast and a long-time trained and certified mindfulness practitioner and teacher. Rich currently lives with his family in San Francisco, California.
