Profile

Over 30 years of career experience. Currently he is a principal consultant in Design Thinking (DT) and Education (curriculum & pedagogical design) with Singapore Polytechnic International (SPI). Has sound track record in mentoring DT challenge projects, designing innovative educational models, and successful academic programme/DT project implementation.

Certified Design Thinking practitioner by Rotman DesignWorks, University of Toronto, he is a pioneer in infusing Design Thinking in Business Education. He was the architect of the SP Business School Design Thinking Masterplan. In this capacity, he was responsible for providing sound academic and professional design-thinking leadership in curriculum design, pedagogy, and training.

As a Design Thinking consultant, he has consulted, led and facilitated many Design Thinking projects and workshops in Singapore and overseas. Local clients include Keppel Land, Ministry of Education, Life-Long Learning Council, Singapore, Public Service Commission, Panasonic, Johnson & Johnson, etc. Overseas programmes include the Philippines State Universities and Colleges, the Ministry of Manpower, Indonesia, the National Economic and Social Development Board of Thailand, the Royal Civil Service Commission of Bhutan (RCSC) and Royal Institute of Governance & Strategic Studies of Bhutan (RIGSS).

As Education Development consultant, he has consulted, led and facilitated the CDIO Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) Education Framework for Philippines State Universities and Colleges, Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mongolia, Danang University (Vietnam), Chengdu University of Information Technology, group of Rajamangala University of Technology universities, ASEAN University Network, National University of Civil Engineering, Hanoi, Vietnam, etc.
